Case reference: MAID-ON-2026-NPPN · Ontario · MAID raised by others; not requested · Recorded by the register as a MAID victim
Who he is
He is the 30-year-old son of Tammy Keller, who posts on X as @Kelleta567 from Canada. He has bipolar disorder. His name has not been made public.
What happened
On 29 September 2026 his mother wrote: “My 30 year old bi-polar son was offered MAID in Ontario by his psychiatrist when his body wasn’t responding favourably to the anti-depressants that were available to him. This is MY experience!”
Why they were pushed toward MAID
Mental illness alone is still excluded from MAID until at least March 2027. Offering MAID to a bipolar 30-year-old because antidepressants were not working is staff raising death in place of better psychiatric care.
What his mother says
“Go ahead & bury your head in the sand, if that’s a place of comfort for you. I won’t,” she wrote. “This is MY experience!”
What this case shows
A psychiatrist offered MAID to a bipolar thirty-year-old when the meds were not working. His case shows mental-illness patients being steered toward death while the mental-illness exclusion is still on the books.
