The Democrats Defended Cartels, While Trump Defended Democracy.
While Democrats were busy crying over Venezuelan drug cartel go-fast boats being blown out of the water, Team Trump was doing something entirely different.
As cartel hardware was being removed from the ocean, the democratically elected leader chosen by Venezuelans, María Corina Machado, was being protected from a regime that had already reneged on its promise of free and fair elections.
While Democrats clutched pearls over the destruction of drug-running platforms, Trump’s crew was moving the legitimate winner of Venezuela’s opposition vote out of a hostile dictatorship, past military checkpoints, and into international safety. No press conferences. No moral theatre. Just execution.
That’s the contrast.
One side cries over cartel assets.
The other side dismantles trafficking routes and backs the woman Venezuelans actually voted for.
One side defends the machinery of narco-states.
The other confronts them and supports democratic legitimacy in the real world.
There’s no comparing the two.
