Former Assistant Anoka County Attorney Andrea Sampson, 35, has been arrested and charged with 26 felonies for helping run a sex trafficking operation that preyed on at least 13 women across the Twin Cities.
This is the same woman who worked inside the Anoka County Attorney’s Office — Family Law and Civil Division — the very system supposedly tasked with protecting people. Instead, investigators say she was securing locations for commercial sex acts and setting up shell companies to hide and pocket the profits.
Thirteen counts of promoting prostitution. Thirteen counts of receiving those profits.
The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension had been digging into this ring since 2021. Her office only put her on leave in February 2026 once they found out about the probe. By March she was gone.
She is in custody. Others have been charged too.
A prosecutor helping traffic women for money.
There is no soft way to say how vile that is.
