The Irony of Anti-Fascists Living Under a Bureaucratic Regime

The Biden administration did not merely misgovern; it normalised coercive rule under democratic cover. Power was consolidated not through law, but through bureaucratic force, narrative control, and institutional intimidation.
Censorship by Proxy
Rather than confront the First Amendment directly, the administration pressured social media platforms to suppress dissenting views. This outsourcing of censorship allowed the state to silence critics while avoiding constitutional accountability. Speech was not debated—it was filtered.
The Surveillance State Rebranded
Under the pretext of combating “misinformation,” federal agencies were repurposed to monitor domestic political discourse. Intelligence and law-enforcement bodies were dragged into information control, producing widespread self-censorship through fear rather than law.
Medical Coercion, Not Consent
Vaccine mandates erased the line between choice and compulsion. Employment, licensing, and livelihoods were weaponised to force medical compliance. This was not public health leadership; it was administrative coercion on a mass scale.
Power Protects Its Own
Executive pardons were issued to allies without clearly defined offenses, transforming clemency into pre-emptive immunity. Simultaneously, evidence tied to January 6 was destroyed or withheld while unresolved questions about federal involvement were buried.
Law as a Weapon
Political opponents and their associates were aggressively targeted to deter resistance. Parents who questioned ideological content in schools were treated as security threats, surveilled for exercising basic civic rights.
This was not leadership. It was soft authoritarianism—rule by bureaucracy, compliance mechanisms, and fear. Tanks were unnecessary. Martial law was redundant. Institutions were captured, dissent punished, allies protected, and democratic language retained only as camouflage.
The pattern is not accidental. It is systemic. And it continues.
